GAIL MANGALORE PETROCHEMICALS LIMITED

Mr. Ayush Gupta is a 1992 batch Electrical Engineer from IIT Roorkee and MBA in Operations Management. He has over 30 years of varied and rich experience in the field of Training and Human Resource Development, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development, Performance Management, HRD Initiatives, Project Management, Operations and Maintenance.
He has been instrumental in formulating talent acquisition strategies to build a strong human resource pipeline for the organization.
He is recipient of the prestigious Chevening Rolls Royce Science, Innovation, Policy and Leadership fellowship from UK Government in 2013, Winner of the National Corrosion Awareness Award in 2004 and Emerging HRD Thinkers Award in 2011. He is also the co-editor of the book titled ‘Natural Gas Markets in India’ published by Springer International and has to his credit several best paper awards for papers published and presented at national and international forums.
Ajay Tripathi is a highly experienced Mechanical engineer with a distinguished career spanning 33 years in Operations, Maintenance and Projects in the Petrochemicals and process plants. He graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 1990.
Throughout his career, he has taken significant initiatives to drive Operational excellence, Reliability, Plant Integrity, Energy efficiency, Plant turnarounds & Revamps, Improvement and Sustainability. His contributions have been instrumental in the growth and success of the companies he has served.
Mr M K Biswas is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur and MBA from IGNOU, New Delhi with more than 34 years of rich and diverse experience in Oil and Gas Sector encompassing Commissioning, Operation of LPG plants, Project Development, Zonal Marketing, Corporate Planning, Corporate Strategy, Business Development functions of GAIL.
He has extensive involvement in Project development of Petrochemicals, Renewable Energy Projects in GAIL from concept to commissioning and has been involved several successful Business Development activities of GAIL in the recent past.
He was involved and commissioned two LPG Plants of GAIL. He has also worked as Marketing head were handled as Zonal Office in Charges for Natural Gas and Petrochemical Products of GAIL and BCPL. Trading of Wind Energy in TN and Karnataka was also Carried out.
Presently, as Executive Director (Risk Management & Total Quality Management), GAIL he is responsible for the Risk Management and Quality Management at GAIL. Prior to this, he was handling Business Development at Corporate Office in GAIL as Chief General Manager.
Mr M K Biswas has authored several papers in India and special interests include project development, Strategic Thinking, Analytics, Energy Management, Innovations, Strategy formulation, Business growth initiatives, System improvement and Digitalization in the organization.
Mr M K Biswas has represented GAIL in IGU (International Gas Union) trained at ISB Hyderabad, IIM Kolkata, ASCI – Hyderabad, Avantika – UK GRI Amsterdam, SABIT program – USA.
Dr Rama Srinivasan Velmurugan is electronics engineer of the 1992 batch from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy, MBA in Operations Management, and Doctorate in Management from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun. An astute professional with over 30 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry, encompassing Human Resources, Learning & Development, Project Management, Operations & Maintenance, Quality, and Skill Development.
Implemented various Skill Development Initiatives as a Task Force member of MoP & NG. Developed Qualification Packs (QP) and National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to the Midstream Oil & Gas Sector, and City Gas Distribution (CGD), and a policy framework for Skill Development Institutes established by Oil & Gas PSUs as a Task Force member of Hydrocarbon Sector Skill Council.
He has successfully led the improvements in Learning & Development system including Customized development programs based on Senior Management Development Centre, Role-Based Training, On boarding of new recruits, e-learning, Mentoring, Industry-academia collaboration, and Coaching. He has been instrumental in formulating revenue generation training programs for GAIL Training Institute in Oil & Gas sector, specific to City Gas Distribution.
Dr.Velmurugan was involved in erection and commissioning of LLDPE Plant in Petrochemical Complex at GAIL Pata, further contributed in De-bottlenecking of LLDPE Plant during his initial career stint in GAIL.
His publications include in top journals such as International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Journal of Training and Development, etc. and he presented papers in several national and international conferences like International Gas Research Conference (IGRC) held at Copenhagen (Denmark), Pipeline Technology Conference (PTC), Berlin etc. He has to his credit several best paper awards for papers published and presented at national and international forums including best research paper award in Doctoral Colloquium conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmadabad.
Shri Satish Kumar Sinha, a Commerce Graduate and is a Cost and Management Accountant by profession. Shri Sinha joined GAIL (India) Limited in 1994 as Management Trainee (F&A) and carries nearly 3 decades of rich and varied experience in Oil & Gas sector.
He has vast experience in key finance functions viz Corporate Finance, Corporate Accounts, Management Accounting, Investor Relation, Costing, Taxation, Treasury, Banking Operations, Budgeting, Project Evaluation, Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, MoU Formulation, Financial Concurrence etc. He has also been actively involved in Investor relations and interactions with Analysts fraternity.
He played a key role for implementation of SAP ERP in the company and also has a major role towards various digitization initiatives taken by the Company.
Currently, he also holds the position of Director in GAIL Mangalore Petrochemical Ltd (GMPL). Earlier, he was on the Board of GAIL Global Singapore Pte Limited, Singapore (GGSPL).
Ms. Archana Chaturvedi is an accomplished and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in the petrochemical industry. She graduated from MNNIT, Allahabad with a degree in Electrical Engineering and embarked on her professional journey at Gail India Ltd. in 1997 as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET). Over the course of her 26-year tenure with the company, Mrs. Chaturvedi has acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various aspects of project execution, operation and maintenance (O&M) of electrical systems, and asset integrity management in Petrochemical Industry. She pursued an MBA in Marketing Management, enhancing her ability to strategically contribute to the organization’s growth and success.
In her role as General Manager (Inspection), she has been responsible for asset integrity management and compliance of safety regulations and industry standards in a petrochemical complex.
Her track record of success and commitment to excellence along with effective communication position her as a reliable and accomplished professional in Petrochemical industry.
Shri Sudhir Dixit is an Electrical Engineer with over 30 Years of rich and diverse experience in setting up, commissioning and operation of a large petrochemical complexes. Soon after passing out from NIT, Raipur in 1992 he has joined L&T as a Graduate Engineer and has worked with them for Six Years. During this period he looked after the construction and commissioning of 1.5 MTPA Cement Manufacturing Facility.
In March this year, Shri Dixit has been promoted as Chief General Manger and has subsequently been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the debt ridden JBF Petrochemicals. JBF Petrochemicals was taken over by GAIL and has been renamed as GAIL Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd (GMPL). As CEO of GMPL, Shri Dixit has embarked upon a dauting task of revival of the company and the PTA Plant located in Mangalore’s Special Economic Zone.
